OnTing Chan – Counsellor-in-Training

Let me introduce myself. I’m OnTing, a counsellor in training at Red Door.
Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and easy to talk to. I value fairness, humour, and honesty, and work to bring those qualities into every client session. Whether you’re feeling uncertain, experiencing burnout, or simply ready to explore something new, I’m excited to work with clients to find clarity and build a plan together.
I bring a diverse background to my counselling practice, shaped by 8+ years of experience in commercial, operational, and product management roles within the financial services and technology sectors.
I’ve led regional teams and worked with global companies to build and scale operations in Asia, developed new products and processes, and coached young professionals through career changes and workplace challenges. I draw on this experience to support both seasoned professionals and those early in their careers, helping them feel less stuck and more connected to what matters to them, especially during times of transition. I also have a background in education and youth work.
If you are a young adult, or the parent of a young adult, I can help with:
· Identifying what motivates individuals
· Turning strengths into career plans
· Planning with passion
· Dealing with periods of uncertainty
· Exploring identity, direction, and purpose
· Building confidence and aspiration
· Broadening awareness of career and life options
I’m also well positioned to help young professionals …
· Considering a career change
· Experiencing burnout or disengagement
· Seeking clarity around values and direction
· Feeling stuck or overwhelmed
· Looking to reconnect with purpose
· Navigating leadership or team dynamics

Angela Kaur Baura – Counsellor-in-Training
I’m Angela Kaur, a counselling psychologist-in-training at Red Door.
My counselling work is grounded in a thirty-year career in communications, where my roles as a coach and journalist in mental health and wellbeing centred on a single, powerful skill: listening deeply to help people articulate their core stories. This remains my most important tool.
I offer a compassionate, confidential space where your unique life experience is honoured. Together, we can clarify the narrative you carry, explore the challenges and strengths within it, and foster the awareness that leads to positive change. Tailored to your needs, I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I work with adults and adolescents on core issues affecting well-being, including:
• Navigating Change: Life transitions, family/career shifts, caregiving, and grief.
• Managing Emotions: Depression, anxiety, stress, and burnout.
• Navigating Relationships: With family, partners, peers, and at work.
• Exploring Identity: Values, purpose, self-esteem, and personal growth.
My work is deeply connected to my commitment to holistic and inclusive wellness, reflected in my community role as a Community Wellness Leader, Diversity List member, and an active mental health educator and advocate.
I counsel in English. To book a session, please contact our counsellor-in-training coordinator at angelaw@reddoor.hk or send a WhatsApp to +852-93785428.
